Why does it seem as though most of the people we know are always tired, over weight, sick, unhealthy and even dying? You may be wondering if anything can be done. We are going to outline four of the biggest contributors to this problem. At the end we will have some solutions to reverse these concerns for yourself and those you love and care about.
This is true not only of processed food, but of many commercially grown fruits and vegetables. In many instances the soil in which they have been grown has been utterly depleted of the nutrients that should be passed to the food. Genetic engineering has produced tastier and more aesthetically pleasing foods that are devoid of nutritional value. Premier Health is facing this issue by providing the much needed but missing supplements in your daily diet.

How Much Sugar Is In Our Food
Problem #2
When you read the labels on foods in your supermarket, will it surprise you to find sugar in most of the food products? One thing for sure just because there is a nutrition-oriented statement on the package (for example "contains whole grain," "excellent source of calcium," "fat-free," "100% juice" or "25% less sugar") does not mean that there is not a significant amount of sugar. And just because the brand name or product name sounds like it could be good for weight loss, do not assume that the food is lower in sugar. Remember that the grams of sugar listed on the nutrition information label includes natural sugars from fruit (fructose) and milk (lactose) as well as added sweeteners like refined sugar or high-fructose corn syrup. Sugar is everywhere, it is in just about everything, even items like cat food, dog food, feed for cattle and the list continues to grow.
It’s Important to understand that fat does not’t make us fat. Sugar does! Fat has its own set of problems. Sugar is big business and comes in many forms. Here are the names of a few to watch for : date sugar, dextran, dextrose, diastase, diastatic malt, ethyl maltol, fructose, fruit juice, fruit juice concentrate, glucose, glucose solids, golden sugar, golden syrup, grape sugar, high-fructose corn syrup, honey, invert sugar, lactose, malt syrup, maltodextrin, maltose, mannitol, molasses, raw sugar, refiner’s syrup, sorbitol, sorghum, syrup, sucrose, sugar, turbinado sugar, yellow sugar just to name a few. Why do manufactures put these sugars in our food? So we will like them, buy more of them and because they can.
The rates of obesity and diet-related diseases are skyrocketing. These illnesses – which were once incorrectly associated with age – are affecting younger people. Take a moment to consider the following statistics:
A hundred years ago diabetes affected less than 0.01% of the U.S. population. Today, nearly57 million Americans are Pre-Diabetic and over 23 million are diabetic (almost half the US `adult population). And new cases have increased 90% in the last 10 years! In 1930 about 3,000 people in the U.S. died of heart disease. By 2005 heart attacks and strokes killed 795,670 people. While our population grew 144%, the number of deaths due to heart disease rose 26,422%. A hundred years ago, cancer was responsible for only 3% of all deaths. Today, cancer is responsible for more than 20% of deaths in the U.S.
We could continue all day on the disasters and effect all this sugar has had on the health of the U.S. population. However it’s not necessary just take a look around and see the obesity and diabetes in adults and sadly our children. Watch this short Video "Wake Up Call" about sugar. It will change how you look at food!

Artificial Sweeteners "Sweet Poison"
Problem #3
Artificial Sweeteners, where do we begin? Do we begin with the bad...worse...worst? One thing for sure none of it is good. Artificial Sweeteners are found in over 6000 foods such as sodas, breath mints, cereals, chewing gum, deserts, teas, coffee, wine coolers and yogurt. But, this does not’t even begin to scratch the surface.
Those using artificial sweeteners are cutting out sugar to lose weight or to control blood sugar levels. However research shows that the artificial sweeteners do the opposite. The chemicals in the sweeteners stimulate appetite and cause cravings for carbohydrates. Another study on diet soda showed an increase in obesity of 41%.
Let’s look at the name artificial as opposed to natural this is the first big clue something is wrong. Artificial Sweeteners are made out of chemicals such as chlorine, acetone, methanol, benzene formaldehyde and ammonia. These chemicals are also found in gas and oil products, fingernail polish removers, antifreeze, and even TOILET BOWL CLEANERS.
